Growing up years

by ButterflyKisses_xo   Apr 26, 2006

Scraped Knees,
And broken bones,
All the times,
we're left alone.

Dirty hands,
And grass stained jeans,
When all the kids,
Acted mean.

Crystal tears,
And mournful cries,
While we'd sit,
And watch the sky.

Wooden swings,
And rusty slides,
Soccer balls,
And butterflies.

Skating round,
And movie scenes,
Pointless walks,
And bowling pins.

Hurtful hits,
and pitiful kicks,
The grounded days,
And apologies.

A little girl,
And the other boy,
Sweaty palms,
And first kisses.

Loving her,
And hating him,
Dreading tomorrow,
A kiss full of bliss.

Don't ruin,
The dreadful tears,
They're only part of,
The growing up years.
