Layed To Rest

by ShadowedPhoenix   Apr 30, 2006

I don't need you constantly in my face,
Telling me what my heart can never replace
My emotions and my desires-
To be with you!

I don't need the constant reminder I'll never be good enough
For success, for honour, for your love!!
I never asked for you to look my way
I don't need this continuous turmoil and dismay.

I don't want to hear your name attached to mine,
Or our hearts bodies and minds entwined.
I'm scared of your words-
Rusting warriors with venomous swords!

I don't care how in love you two are!
I've made it alone this far
My heart- it hurts my veins
For with every heart beat echoes in pain!

I'm not asking for another chance,
For that is too much to ask!
I don't need your lingering request
For this is worthless, it must be laid to rest!
