Breathe

by magnifico   May 1, 2006

When I woke up,
and saw the sun
shining through,
and thought about time,
the infinity of it,
the wonder that\'s lit.
I took a deep breath,
and felt life,
right beneath my skin.
I hold my head high,
look up to the endless blue sky,
and there go my dreams,
the everlasting stream.
I walk into the abyss,
I stay a moment in bliss,
and I think, almost as if to sink
into the realm of memories,
the vault of thoughts,
the safe that embraces life,
and there I close my eyes
and I breathe...
For the last moment living in wonder,
For the last drop of rain,
For the last tear that shall fall,
For the last touch of pain,
For the last memory I enthral...
And then I breathe no more.

Great write stranger. I haven't seen you on here until now, and I only wish I had noticed you sooner. I have been away from the computer for quite a while though, and now that I am back I'm glad to have found such an inspiring write. I especially loved the last lines. ''For the last'' , it really shows you that any moment can be your last, and we Should live life to its fullest. Great job.
