Untarnished

by Cleo   May 3, 2006

With each new day
I blossom and forget
My mind a beautiful blank
As I shed my skin
It unravels
The tatters of the past
Smouldering cast offs
Fall by the wayside
Blazing behind my back
As I march on
To look back is to fail
Memories shrugged away as I keep on Burying
Deeper into my new clean life
Peeling away the past
Revealing raw naive freshness
I will be new, perfect, unsoiled,

Untarnished.
