Friendship Heals

by Echelon Eric   May 5, 2006

The pain of loss is so powerful
A damage that leaves a scar for life
How can some be so unforgivable?
And stab you in the heart with a knife

Friendship was an aid to this wound
A magical feeling of reassurance
That I was not at all alone
It was the strongest endurance

I was constantly reminded of it everyday
Of how much those words burned
How could she hurt me that way?
And to my truest friends I turned

Damage was done both sides
One suffered severely
I came to realize and it turned the tides
That the one hurt was me

My friends supported me and I found out
That I shouldn't have been in doubt
On this day I see clearly
The power of friends surpasses anything
