Poem Grox Davo

by David   May 5, 2006

They call me Poem Grox Davo.
I write and rap instead of cuzzin trouble.
With my hommies I used to rumble,
I was never humble.
And you’d never see me tumble.
But I aint a street man,
But now a family fan.
I rap and write
Every time I can.
Try to come up to me and say you suck,
You can never look me in the eye,
Cuz it’s coming from my heart.
Aint nothing I write that’s false.
I write my daily life.
This is the way I get my anger out
I don’t need a knife.
A gun,
Or a weapon of any sort.
I’m a wise man with knowledge
Neva went to school,
But I still learned.
Yea! Believe, cuz it’s true.
This is the way I get my mind off of stupid Fu’z.
I got love and hate in me,
More of love just believe me.
Hate has passed,
I lived that life.
I might be young
But now all I need is a beautiful wife.
People will hate, on the things I write,
I careless cuz they’re not so bright.
I got my plans,
I got my future.
That’s what I care about the most
Not them creatures.
But just remember,
The farther you target is in good life,
The farther you’ll get.
Aint nothing gonna come to you easy.
Sitting at home getting fat
or being fed.
Gotta work hard.
Gotta earn your money.
Hard or smart,
Don’t take life funny.
I might not write as well as others
But I don’t care,
That don’t bother.
I know I’ll live longer.
Cuz the good I do,
The lessons I took,
They were from streets
That helped me through.
I’m not a gangster
Was never one!
I shouldn’t even be telling this
I’m just all around fun.
I grew up different.
Had parents who tried teaching me to aim at good future.
But streets and hommies took me away.
Neva took nobody’s shi*,
Cuz that’s what I learned to say.
But now I’ve changed and have matured.
Now at nights I get on my knees and pray.
Seen enough!
And said hey!
Forget this kind of life
Let’s start a new way!
And than I keep on praying.
