Silence

by Psymon   May 6, 2006

I love it when we can sit without words
This silence is meaningful and deep
Like we still communicate without a sound
This is the best silence to cherish and to keep

Other silence, like the dead of night
Can tend to fill one with fear
Mind running at top speed, round and round
Wishing then that you were near

Then there's the intensity of the silence
That follows the screams of anger and outrage
Eyes fuming, red rimmed, tongues scorched into stillness
Like trapped animals in a self created cage

But the silence of the desert is awesome at best
Filling one with a sense of total power
As we slip into ourselves
To reach out...
Once more...
As loves promise comes to flower...

The flow and easy carefree rhyme are very well done...or not done..it just seems natural.

Each Stanza is fresh even though the focus is the same, and the ending is spot on. Nice one.

Ps, loving your well informed posts on the Bush hating thread, keep it up.
