Burden

A burden of thorns
Placed upon my heart
Slowly,
Torturously
Tearing me apart.

A ring of fire
Encirlcing my eye.
Exuberant
Beautifully
But only when I cry.

I am a mystery
Yet consistent....
Almost, almost
Non-existent.

But I'm still here
I promise.
Bearing this burden of thorns.
Saying all the senseless things
I've probably said before.

I'm still here....
Whispering.
In your ear,
Telling you
My story.

But you can't hear me.
You won't listen
To the senseless ramblings
Of when my heart has glistened

Over with ice
Or maybe with gold
Or maybe the darkest
Of black to behold.

So listen to me
Please, I beg
Just take a chance...
Go ahead.

Plunge into the depths
Of my almost-insane mind
Forget about the world
Wonderfully left behind.

Because I'm still here
Bearing this burden of thorns.

    HEy thanks so much for your comments.
    I saw this one all lonely without a comment or vote so i thought id give it some company.
    It certainly deserves it!
    IT was very emotional, you could tell what you were saying straight away.
    Someone will open their heart eyes and ears to here your story, i do know the feeling but i found someone.
    Many 'someones.'
    Keep it up
    And dont forget,
    smile when your happy,
    cry when your sad,
    Frown when your angry,
    And you'll soon be glad.
