What You've Become

by michele deluca   May 8, 2006

Coming across as not serious
My lack of hope makes you furious
I'm searching for the right words to say
But they come out of my mouth and drift away
Your insecurity is mixed with doubt
Leaves the taste of regret in your mouth
Trying to hard to get want you want
Who you've become is someone you're not
Words are just words til they have meaning
You're always looking but never seeing
Won't do this cause I feel sorry for you
Don't want to hurt somone I'm close to
I'm sometimes right but always wrong
No one believes you when you say you're strong
The truth can hurt but so can a lie
Better to be honest and make you cry
Life's just a game, love just a phase
Got myself into this tangled maze
Your mistakes aren't worth learning from
You're so much more than what you've become*
