Your Friends

by Meggie33   May 9, 2006

Your friends throw everything off, you know how much you change,
When you're home you're loving, and when you're with them you're strange.

You don't act the same, when you're friends are there,
When you're alone you love me, when you're with them you don't care.

I hate it when you're around them, I hate it oh so much,
When you're with your friends, your attitude has an added rude touch.

You have friends that call me names, and treat me like I'm trash,
You holler when you're with them, as you flick your ash.

As you sit with your friends, you don't pay attention to me,
When you're home without them, you act as if I'm all you could ever see.

Ansley, and Courtney, Jon and whoever else there is you know,
I don't really care for them, because they make me feel low.

Your friends cause me hurt, your friends cause me pain,
When you're away from your friends, you say you'll never do it again.

Your friends make you change, your frineds make you act wrong,
Your friends tell you what you like, and even your favorite song.

Don't be with me, but don't do it for them, do it for you,
If you're going to leave me, than please, don't let them tell you what to do.

I used to love you so much, but now into the picture they have come,
I don't want you to be friends with them, because they treat me like I'm dumb.

Your friends are mean, and you need to see it's wrong,
But I need to tell you, that this isn't going to last very long.

If you think they're funny, yes I guess you're right,
But if you think they're respectfull, than you need to see the light.

Your friends are mean, and they are rude,
When you're around your friends, you change your attitude.

Don't call me when you're with them, and you guys need to stop talking about me,
I hate those friends that ruin who you are and it's hurting US can't you see?

One rule I stick by is to meet his friends before I even get involved, and even see how he acts with them alone. If he's an idiot he always will be, and will eventually he'll be an idiot with you, so it's not worth it.
Anyway your poem...It did well to tell the story of how he can treat you wrong and change around his friends.
You have a couple of spelling mistakes if you don't mind me saying.
On the line "Your friends make you change, your frineds make you act wrong," you have a typo with friends.
Also respectful has just the one l.
    Good job!
