Mum, a fading memory

by Amanda   May 10, 2006

Mum please come back,
do not just walk away,
And leave me all alone,
not for another day,

Mum why do you do it,
love the boys and not me?
We are all your children,
so open your eyes and see,

Not only are you hurting me,
confusing my brother as well,
Ruining our sibling friendship,
just looking at him I can tell,

I want to get to know you,
I need you more than ever,
I want you to know I want you,
and I am loving you forever,

I have plenty of friends,
but it is not the same,
You messed up my head,
treated my life as a game,

I need your arms to hug me,
when I am scared and alone,
A mothers love is all i needed,
but I guess I will make it on my own.

Aww this poem is so sad. You did a great job at expressing your feelings and really bring out the emotions in the poem. The flow and rhythm of it held up well.. Great job on this!
