Tell me No Lies

by Wasted Fake Smiles   May 10, 2006

Tell me no lies, sing no sad songs,
Tell me the truth, say no wrongs.
No matter how it makes me feel,
Promise everything you tell me is real.

Say the truth, never tell me a lie,
Even if the truth makes me cry.
I need honesty, no fabrication,
For the sake of my life in this beautiful nation.

Never lie to me, lies only hurt me more,
You make my heart and my mind go at war.
Say the truth, with nothing but accuracy,
Send me to the light, don't lead me falsely.

Don't lie to me, be brutally honest,
Promise me your guidance, and your trust.
Tell me the truth, with complete sureness,
I promise, no matter what, I won't love you less.

Very nice poem, the main idea and your word ussage was great. Just one idea, the use of the word "Me" was used to much in your poem and it through off the flow, such as here

Never lie to me, lies only hurt me more,

You could say "Never like to me, lies only hurt more' The flow would be much easier to read... Other than that little detail your work is really good! and this poem gets a well deserved 5/5
