Alcohol and Pills

by And smiles hide everything   May 11, 2006

A dark and lonely night
Alone at home again
Wondering if she might
Put it all to an end.
She grabs the bottle of vodka
Starts drinking her problems away.
Fun fun fun it is
Until she comes upon
Something of his.
Memories abashed
Just like her heart who crashed
She grabs her bottle of pills
Down they go
Two by two
Sure enough that will do.
Her pills that make her happy
Soon enough make her drowsy.
She starts to fall to the floor
Last thing she sees is him
Standing at the door.
As he lays down beside her
Her scarred arm he sees
Wishing for no more
Of these horrible stinging bees
She's not waking up
As he holds her hand
His one and only wish
Is that its not the end.
