Twilight Thief

by Strange Angel   May 13, 2006

A hollow sphere
Hung like a banner in the sky
Proclaiming thoughts of death
And coldness.

Twilight thief
Casting out his stolen light,
Surrounded by his minions.
A fiend, glaring with icy peculiarity
Forcing them into submission.
Ruler of darkness
Who makes his presence felt
In the silver that he bleeds.

Put those thoughts into their heads,
Convince them of the dark.
No way to rebel against him
As he slew our saviour;
Bleeding heart against the hillside.
He manipulates their minds,
Capturing their thoughts,
Twisted inside their spirits.

Proclamation of deception,
We are manikins waiting to be manipulated
Yet we stand as one,
And gaze for hours at the moon.
