She aint immortal

by ScarletHaze   May 15, 2006

She never needed anyone
she never wanted to show that weakness
never needed false sencerity
no one else to get her by

she told herself that for far too long
had many others convinced too
she'd save herself the heartache
an immortal stone her heart

so she kept hiding from that feeling
pushing one after another away
no one allowed to get close to her
no one to see her cry

she hid herself for far too long
people knew of her existance but not her
didn't know of her secret struggle
the drugs, the drink, her past

it seemed that this would carry on
her life of self administered solitude, celibacy
till one day she realised what she had become
the bitter alone old lady
her reflection she could not bear.

and now at her funeral
nobodys there to cry
just goes to show you
nobody's immortal
though everyone does try
