Playing The Field

by Tasha   May 16, 2006

How could I have been so blind not to be able to see?
That what you said, wasn't truly about me.
That the love you gave was false.
That your heart doesn't have a pulse.
You lied to me, and took my dreams.
All the feelings you had were not meant for me.
But yet you wouldn't say it to my face.
That you had cheated to my love.
You took away what wasn't yours.
And hide these things behind closed doors.
How could you actually be so heartless?
To not feel guilty for a pain like this.
You told me that you were sorry and that you were just playing.
But I took to heart, all the things you were saying.
You had reached my heart, when down was shield.
You simply said,"I always like Playing The Field." -
