A Love Not Meant To Be

by Tom K   May 18, 2006

Laying there sleepless all the night
Endless thoughts run through my mind.
Why is this wrong or why is it right
For me to love, one so young and kind.

No one can know nor understand
My feelings for you ...Oh so pure
A love no bigger...none stronger
Only a true loves heart could endure.

I ask...Why is this in my heart?
The pain of my love, so heavy to bear.
As tears burn and rend my soul apart,
For I fear of a love we cannot share.

But then my eyes behold your Beauty
And within my heart swells a melody.
Then sings my song of love, a dance of joy.
For you are the angels in my symphony.

At last I find repose and rejoice,
A solace to a yearning heart.
For at least you know my Loves choice,
Of this true feeling I cannot depart.

So gentle woman of whom I love,
Within your arms I would surely be.
If only for a moment... to touch, to hold.
For to me... that would be an Eternity.

Your poems are just so amazing and so full of passion and emotions. I loved reading them. Many of them sound like my stories.

This stanza relates to me alot.
