Why can't I write

by Lyla   May 19, 2006

Why can't I write
It's ruining my life
These emotions must be drained
So I can deal with my pain
My pencil starts writing
And my teeth start biting
Nothing I say sounds right
The parts of my brain start to fight
I know what I want to say
Yet It won't flow even if i write all day
My brain hurts trying to get my point across
Without my writing I'm at a loss
It's sad the only poem I can get to rhyme
Is the one that isn't worth a dime
This block won't budge
Maybe it holds a grudge
Why can't I write
Its ruining my life
Oops now I'm at the beginning again
So I guess now it's time for my poem to end

I liked your description of writer's block. Although I'm sure you're upset, it was actually kind of a funny poem. Enjoyed! Jpoet*

Nice, a little confusing, but nice. If you are having trouble writing, just slow down, focuse on what you know, and what the point and purpose of the poem is. And dont forget, not all poems have to rhyme, in fact, some of the better ones dont.
