Without Lights

Looking forward to the path ahead
What kind of journey will my life bring?
Happiness or death?
Disaster or relief?

Nobody really knows
What the outcome will be
Just "be all you can be"
And let the rest follow me

Is it just a misconception
Or am I figuring it correct
The world may never know
Exactly how my brain acts

For I am one of a kind
And I deserve the best
Will it turn out ok
Or will it be a huge mess

Nobody really knows,
Looking for the answer
As the lights go out
Now what do I do

I'm in total darkness
Trying to find the answer
Without lights,
Resembles the way my mind thinks

I'm in the dark,
Both tonight, and in my life
For I have no clue,
What will happen

    ^^ Do you mean relief?
    This poemw as kind of repetitive but at the same time it was pretty good and made a lot of sense to me. The darkness could mean what we don't know is ahead of us but not really want to remember what lies behind. Nice write and goodluck.

    I think we all reach this stage in our lives when we really dont know whats before us or even which path to choose...me for one definetly can relate to this poem....I think you said it all.......inspiring write.
