Aloe Vera

by Wasted Fake Smiles   May 24, 2006

Burns from the sun, gnawing away at my back,
If I'd just worn sunscreen, the burns I would lack.
I sat in the sun, just an hour too long,
For now I am burnt, boy was I wrong.

I look like a tomato, bright red and gross,
The way that you feel, after eating too much lactose.
Going through the cupboards, looking for that aloe,
I'm going to need a lake of it, and it better not be shallow.

Skin is peeling everywhere, it looks like I'm a snake,
Or like you put me in the oven, and just pushed "bake".
Aloe Vera soothes my burns, but still I'm red and nasty,
I feel slightly like a bag of chips, and salsa lastly.
