Scrapbook of you and I

by *Chels & Britt*   May 26, 2006

Spread out on the hardwood floor
Gathering the pictures of you and I
How'd a perfect relationship turn to hell
I'm so hurt, but my eyes are dry

Memories of perfection set out
Of the times we went to the zoo
Having our crazy fun in the park
Each day was something new

Pictures of us at the basball game
We both were wearing matching caps
You caught a homerun ball that day
After a long hard day we both collapsed

Forever only truly remains in film
You and I both know how that rings true
Because you're gone, no longer by my side
Our relationship wasn't good enough for you

I place the picture of our first date
On the purple and blue page number one
We ate the spaghetti like Lady and the Tramp
Our little moments were always so much fun

You were so sweet to me that night
Made me feel like such a special girl
You held my hand ever so sweetly
Really made butterflies whirl

As I got all the way to page ten
I will not lie, my eyes filled with water
I saw pictures of the two of us kissing
We always talked about conceiving a daughter

The fun we had trying to make that happen
But it truly wasn't meant to be
For you and I aren't together anymore
All thats left are these sad pictures for me

A part of me wants to light a fire on this book
I'd love to realease my pain and watch it burn
But this scrapbook holds my high school memories
Even if we're not together, you always be a main concern
