How I became Barbie

I was walking past the corner store
And saw the sign in the window
"This new gum makes you feel like Barbie!"
My very first thought was "Yeah right! NO!"

I had to go check it out
To see if this was for real
A single piece of pink gum
With a pretty sparkly seal

After the pack was bought
I popped a piece in my mouth
I started to to enjoy the taste
Felt some gurgling down south

My skin felt like rubber
As I shrank down to size
My brown hair now blonde
With sparkly blue eyes

Everything now looked bigger
I just didn't understand
Then I heard, "look mommy!"
I was picked up in a hand

"Its a pretty Barbie!"
I couldn't move my head
I tried to speak
But nothing could be said

I was put in her mothers purse
Shoved between a wallet and lotion
I was so uncomfortable and scared
Whatever was happening let me show no emotion

Next thing I knew
I was back in some hands
I felt something very cold
I was being put in a stand!

She set me on a shelf
Next to her barbies and bears
Smiled at her collection
Then went running down the stairs!

I had to find a way
To get out of this place
I suddenly saw a mirror
Seeing a Barbie face
