Manic thoughts

by master of shadow   May 26, 2006

Flashing past like a runaway train
Won't slow nor stop
Whizzing on with no release
Mind won't stop, thoughts won't drop,
Onwards the speed
Spiralling away
Never to cease
The same each day.
Confusion reigns
And believes appear
Of things that to the truth
And nowhere near.
Unreal thoughts, unreal sights,
Nothing is how is seems,
Things may not be real
Not knowing what is merely dreams
And onwards the thoughts keep passing,
Disappearing out of sight
Never knowing what they truly are
Or why they shall take flight.

Nice, this poem even seems to represent what it's talking about in a weird way. It's moved through my head fast, and seemed to end unexpectedly even though I could see the end coming. Battling between false and true, many people will relate to this, if it's constant thoughts or just momments of their life. It may be a little too jumpy, but the jumpiness fits the topic. I'll always love your poetry.
