Vampire Torment

by -Ghostship Fidelity-   May 30, 2006

This hand clenches shard of glass
Gathered from the liquor bottle
There was a bad dream here
Inside this room, inside this house
And I'm the only one left alive
A light complexion left to darken
In a room full of night time nightmares
Tearing at the blood vessels in the eyes
Of every victim it takes
The child weeps not for lack of light
But for every taunted soul that torments him
In the windowless room
That demons taunt from above and below
This ambitious trade has gotten hot in hell
And the salesmen are marketing off spots
To the highest bidding horned figure
This child is feeling alone
With bite marks on his arms
And crusted blood in his hair
For he had jumped out of every window every chance he got
The demons always said it wasn't the best time
And so he sits
So he waits
For that lost light to shed it's darkened skin
And so he waits
And whispers to the demon that taunts him
Father, let there be light or let me be gone
