Trapped within my own mind

by master of shadow   May 31, 2006

Feeling nothing
Not knowing what is real
Empty and alone
Just wanting something to feel,
Cannot stop the thoughts
The thoughts within my head
Saying I am useless
And how I should be dead.
Cannot sleep
Cannot think
As into darkness
I begin to sink,
Tired but unable to sleep
Unable to stop my mind
The images and memories
Trapped in this eternal bind.
Sunk and drowning
Cannot breathe
Unable to surface
But not wanting to leave.
Trapped within my own mind
Stuck within the past
Need to find a way to break out
For my end is coming fast.

    Yo!
Lol, This was a great poem. I'm loving the speed of it and how the sentences weren't dragged out. I'm a fan of this type of poetry that you can have a flow to reading it!
Your word usage was mmmkay and your flow as always rocked. I could see this becoming a song if more was added :P
Well done though, I enjoyed it. :]

    Wow. That was sad. Good poem though. Could relate in parts. The flow and rhyming were good. But I loved these lines;
    "Cannot sleep
    Cannot think
    As into darkness
    I begin to sink"

    Awesome job! 5/5
