The Night Sky

by nobody truly knows me   Jun 2, 2006

I look up at the night sky
And go breathless at the sight
There are millions of tiny stars
Brightening the sky with their lights
They sparkle like diamonds
And flicker like fire
When the tiny dots all come together
They seem to form a big picture
It's all so overwhelming
It makes me feel so small
Knowing however many times I count them
I'll never count them all
I lie back on the ground
Knowing I could watch the sky all night
I'm so glad I don't live in a big city
Where I'd miss this magical sight

I don't know how many times I've thought that same thing. Beautiful poem, it's fantastic!

Nicely written... But this is more of a nature poem. But anyways, it was very nicely written and I loved the image you gave me. Great write.
