For one last time

*This poem is about the problems in Africa, the kidnappings in Uganda. I find this so horrible that they kidnap kids to use them as a weapon. This poem doesn't rhyme but everything in it is true.

Children with their whole lives ahead of them
Being full of hopes and dreams for the future
Unaware off the insane people seeing them as a tool
Kidnapping them and using them for their purposes

Little boys and girls get taken away from their family
Boys sometimes forced to kill theirs,
By pulling the trigger they save their own lives
But they also get broken mentally

Little girls of any age are used for pleasure
They get seen as a lust object and used as one
Giving them a life long trauma...
Such a delicate age, yet already so broken

Smallest kids seen as bravest warriors
Having no fear, thinking it's all a game
Grab their toy, run out and play,
Is what's going through their mind

They don't know better,
They don't have another choice
Dreams get smashed to pieces
Hopes slowly fading away

The youngest children running out front,
Coz they're the easiest to replace,
They don't need much food and don't need to get paid,
And they are the fearless ones

For the last time they run up the hills
Grab they're gun and shoot around
Laughing and thinking it's all a game
While angels await them up above
