Family united in desolation

by Odessa   Jun 3, 2006

My mother tells me I'm an idiot
my father tells me he loves me
my mother tells me I'm ugly
my father tells me he loves me

sometimes it's better to hear a lie that draws a smile
than to listen to the truth that'll make me cry
sometimes it's better to be thoughtful than to be honest...
sometimes it's better to dream than to live in reality...
sometimes it's better to cry than to talk...
sometimes it's better to be stupid than to be a smart ass
sometimes it's better to be someone else than to be the real me...
sometimes it's better to hide than to face life...
sometimes it's better to die than to live...
sometimes it's better to forget than to forgive...
sometimes it's better to frown than to laugh...
sometimes it's better to close your eyes than to see what's going on...
but what i know is it's always good to be with my friends...
them...
they...
we...
are all the same...
and that it's always good to be innocent...
i don't want to have knowledge...
it's better not knowing than suffer from the pain of knowing...
but no matter...
what's said has been said..it's all done...
and nothing Will ever make me feel better...
except
laughing...
lying...
crying...
forgetting...
dreaming...
being a fake...
hiding...
and
running...
away...

my mother tells me she cares
my father says nothing
my mother tells me she loves me
my father is gone...
