Invisible Prison

by Resplendant Rose   Jun 5, 2006

A silent tear falls
down her beautiful face
she's hardly responsible
for what befalls

lost and all alone
just trying to figure out
why no one will help her
she lets out a moan

so hard to find love
in this god-forsaken place
she simply wanders about
a flightless dove

on the empty street
she once called it home
now its like her prison
filled with deceit

now its been so long
that she cant go back
to the way that she was
she can never belong

so she keeps going
down this darkened road
with no end, and no mercy
everyone unknowing
