Empty Streets

by michele deluca   Jun 7, 2006

Choking down another pill
Choking out another verse
Words unspoken leave you hanging
Leaves you time to scream and curse
Silence scattered, fractured, gone
Screaming at that faulty wh *re
White-hot burning, sinking in
Street corners empty like before
Satisfaction's fleeting, short
Blaming, underaged and dumb
Darkest streets that lead to nowhere
Running to where you're running from
Your minds too slow, your hearts to cold
Getting in line for the witnesses
So in light of this situation
Pull the trigger, blow them kisses*
