Crossroads

by butterfly ♥ kisses   Jun 8, 2006

I don't want to forget;
I don't want to lose sight
Of all the plans we had in mind.

I don't want to regret;
I don't want tomorrow to become our past.
I don't want to acknowledge
That this will not last.

I don't want to take pictures;
I don't want to freeze these days in time--
Because I don't want them to become
Mere images in my mind.

I don't want to grow up;
I don't want to let go--
Because that will mean walking away
From all I've ever known.

I don't want to embrace fear;
I don't want to move on.
I want to keep tonight
And hold it hostage from the dawn.
