Don't Slip Away

by Carmen   Jun 9, 2006

You're always on my mind.
I dream of our bodies entwining.
But since you seem so far away,
I gaze out the window, sighing.

Loneliness swirls all around me
Like leaves in the blustering wind.
Don't let our love slip away
Before it even begins.

Embracing seems a lot like a fantasy,
One that will never come true.
Fairytale days are over now,
But my dreams are still all about you.

Memories of you and me together
Have mostly gone astray.
Love is calling out to us,
So please don't slip away.

That was really good, i liked it a lot, i could feel what you were trying to say, and the emotions that you were trying to express with your words....good job! u r right about the ???? marks but u should probably edit them out, becuase some, unlike me, might let that ruin how highly they think of the poem! i liked it a lot,,, great job!
