A special person like you

I know your not his real dad but hey what does that matter
your the one who fills his life with so much laughter.
your doing a great job at raising him and being dad
the patience you have with him and your never mad
your always there to play with him and mess around
to hear you both laughing is the sweetest sound
so thank you for making us so very happy,our lives are wonderful now
1year ago i wouldn't have believed this is where i'd be i'd ask you how?

    ^ maybe try rearanging this a bit.. it sounds a bit off.. for example :
    "your patient with him and never get mad"
