Far From Me

by Chelsey   Jun 14, 2006

Everyone thinks she's pretty,
But she only sees disgust,
They always say they love her,
She replies it's only lust,

A life of insanity,
A love built around pain,
No self esteem left,
and he's the one to blame,

Everyone says she's beautiful,
She's a girl without a name,
she's just an object,
everyone wants to claim,

She has no real self value,
and noone really cares,
and those who say they do,
have more important affairs,

Everyone says she's great,
she says it mustn't be me,
they say she must be perfect,
she replies it's nothing but instabilities,

Everyone says they love her,
but she can't believe a word they say,
because she turned so mistrusting,
the day he went away,

Love isn't something that you lose over night,
She just hangs her head low from sight,
tears aren't something that are meant to be shown,
not when your her and your name goes unknown,

A smile plastered on her face,
She was perfect, she had to be,
but if only everyone knew,
That perfect is far from me....

Absolutely loved this. It's so true... self-esteem can easily be lost just because of one boy, making the girl suddenly feel ugly and hopeless even if she is beautiful. You did a great job writing this, hun. Keep writing and take care!
