Water Nymph

Her gentle movements,
Soft glides,
Whispers of truth,
Tenderly fine.

Her skin is a lucid pale,
Cheeks like fresh roses,
Body like a dancer,
Lips of a damsel.

While she sits upon a ledge
Her feet dangling, the water, her feel,
She tries to seek the answers,
Only few wish to reveal.

You could say her mind has slipped
Into the depth of the water below
People beg her to come out of her mind,
But that is the least she wants to show.

She wants to break free of this life,
Free of what she is.
For a mere water nymph is not her ambition.

But how could she do so?
Leave her people behind?
Go away into the real world?
Do what's on her mind?

While she has the beauty of millions
The heart of coal,
She doesn't see why she must be kept
In this water -deep water- hole.

Her face pulls up from her hands,
Long black hair falling within her face,
She'd do anything to escape, anything,
To get out of this place.

She didn't think she was the only who felt this way.
There must be someone out there, who feels the same,
Locked inside a place where you want to get away.

But I have to break free, she thought,
I need to follow my foretold destiny.
The magic, oh the magic,
Thats burning deep inside of me.
