Calling You

by Danielle   Jun 16, 2006

I've been trying
Seeking answers to questions I can't voice
The harder I try, the further I stumble
And it's getting harder to look you in the eye

Its one word you've always said
Say it and he'll come
Cry and he'll hold you in his arms
Fall and he'll pull you back up
Just speak and he'll save you

But don't you see. . .
I'm loosing me in this descent I'm taking?

I can't find the faith to believe
I lost it long ago
The belief in me, it faded away in the rain
And I'm grasping for something
Anything
But this anguish deep in me

Hold on, you've whispered
Hold my hand
Let me lead you back home
Let me hold you up
Let me be your tower of strength
Let me be all you can't be
Hold on, you whisper

I'm closing my eyes
Letting go of the pain
Giving you the sorrow I carry with me
I'm begging you to save me

I'm on my knees
Calling out to you.
