Spinning Out Of Control

Delivering pizza
All goes well
Driving with no worries at all
Listening to my radio

Then all fails
Taking a corner
That changed my life
Spinning out of control

Skidding until stopped by impact
Hit a mailbox
Windows bust
Blood dripping

Wondering if I am still alive
Hear screams asking
If I'm OK
Stumbling out of the car

Looking at them
Saying I'm Fine
Pulling glass out of my arm
Hearing sirens in the background

People surrounding
The accident
Making sure I don't fall
Ambulance arrives

And takes me away
Off I go
Thinking I'm just fine
But what I don't know

Is my life
Has just changed
Six stitches to my arm
A cut eye

Doctors say I might go blind
Two broken fingers
And a broken wrist
From a few days before

If you look at me
I'm just a mess
Pray every night
That I'll be able to see

There is one thing
That I'll always remember
And that is this quote
"Live As If You Were To Die Tomorrow"

    Whoa that must have been quite a scary thing going through.
    I like in this poem that your coming to the point very easily, it's really a straight in your face piece. It also doesn't get boring at all, captivated from the start.
    I hope you are doing good on this day and the quote in the end sums it up very well.
