You will never be a Father

by destiny2005   Jun 17, 2006

Have you ever loved so much,
that you'd give an arm for,
not just the expression,
literally give an arm for?

Have you ever loved so much,
you'd stand in front of a train,
just to make sure that little person,
could have one more day playing?

I know the answer, don't worry,
you don't need to make up a story,
you don't need to try to make yourself seem better,
I know the truth, have seen you in all your glory.

What's the first thing in your mind,
when you awaken?
I'm sure its not your son or I,
who from so much you have taken.

I used to think he needed you,
that he'd really care,
but I know now that even if you had been involved,
you wouldn't have been really "there"

What will be the first thing on your mind,
when you lay in a bed dying?
I can't say for sure for him,
but I wont feel bad when your crying.

See there is a difference between you and I,
the difference is greater then the largest lake.
See I am a parent, a real true parent,
and well, you are just a fake.

Morals? You don't have any,
so how could you instill them in a child?
Love? You couldn't love a dog.
I know all about you, it just took a long while.

Your kids are inconveniences to you,
you have never been very involved.
When they have a crisis,
they wont come to you to get it solved.

You may not think they will remember,
that you treated them so bad,
but they are smart little boys,
for that I am very glad.

Mine doesn't even know who you are,
and for that I am glad,
because you have no conscience,
you don't deserve to be a dad.

I hope you enjoy this day,
devoted to people who aren't you.
Pretending you deserve recognition,
for something you will never do.
