Penguin

*This might not be that great because I just wrote it in a hurry. It's for school.* [I have some summer science thing] *so if it's bad, I already know*

Smallest penguins in Antarctica
Founded by a French explorer
They're 60 - 70 cm tall
Living in the outdoors

Breeding grounds in October
Females laying two eggs each
Keeping each egg warm
At a rocky, ice-free beach

Thousands of penguins
Breeding together
Always looking out
And helping each other

Parents haven't eaten. .
Now, eating fish and krill
When returning to the sea
To get there tummy's re-fulfilled

These penguins have stiff tails
That they drag when they walk
And squeals a loud cry
When they wish to talk

They have a white belly
And a black head
A ring around their eye
And a feathery beak instead

They are powerful swimmers
And can jump straight on to land
They can jump straight out of water
Just because they can

They do lots of work
Along with fun in the year
They're interesting to watch
And are somewhat queer

When the year is done
There breeding must begin
Once again, the life continues
Of an Adelie Penguin
