Still Here

by Liv   Feb 23, 2004

Your smell is still here, beside me.
Your words still in my head, torturing me.
Your touch still inside, killing me.
And your smile still in my heart, convicting me.
Even though we’re now apart.

The tears are still here, engulfing me.
Impossible thoughts still in my head, lying to me.
The promises still inside, puzzling me.
And the dreams of you and me still in my heart, giving hope to me.
Knowing you’ve broken my heart.

Your past is still here, mocking you.
Your kisses still in my head, betraying you.
Your faith in me still inside, contradicting you.
And your lies still in my heart, not trusting you.
Because of the way we broke apart.

I’m lying here, all alone,
Wondering why in my head, waiting by the phone,
Crying inside, all alone
And knowing in my heart, I’ve always known
It was all wrong.
