You left me

by Liv   Mar 16, 2004

You left me standing here,
thinking of all the tears,
wishing away my past,
knowing we'd never last.

You left me at the door,
while my heart tore,
the friends around try and cope,
But my eyes are still full of hope.

You left me one day,
Had nothing left to say,
And somehow slipped beneath a crack,
But then you came back.

You left me stone cold,
I had nothing left to hold,
That was it.
The ones around ask "one more hit?'

You left me all alone,
After my heart was your home,
Promised you'd never leave,
Now what am I suppose to believe?

I like the repetition and the form it was written in. It really gives it a certain flow that is perfect for what the poem is written about. Good Job!!
