Purple Angels In The Sky

by Jaime   Jun 19, 2006

The hidden beauty of a friendship
A secret bond that one could never guess
One mocked evil, one faked nice
Either could ignore the other any less

In that cartoon world of blue and red
Purple is banned, and never seen
Each held by all in equal respect
Competing for the right as colour queen

Both held one wing of the butterfly
Straining different ways, kept it on its feet
Metal bars provided no challenge
Teamed against the other, neither can be beat

Two different sides of Earth's equation
Strange connection that one couldn't deny
Two polar opposites in the shallow world
Twin sisters in the stars, purple angels in the sky

Now this is really beautiful. I could fine no error's besides the lack of some punctuation. But other then that this is one of the best pieces that I have read from you. You have a wonderful use of imagery and your skill with structure is brilliant. This poem held a lot of different meaning in it and I loved the message that it conveyed.

Keep up the wonderful work hun! 5/5

Interesting and different. I loved the colour imagery as that gave the whole thing a lovely 'tinge' lol.
I guess you could interpret it in many ways and the vague vocab certainly helps.
    Sterling effort.

No matter how many times I read it, I can't get my head around it. I do like poems like this. And long strange titles, like "pots, pans and the universe."

As Sourav said, this is indeed, an interesting poem.
