Requited

by Crossiance   Jun 21, 2006

Finally a love that is requited
Though can only lead to tragedy.
A Romeo and Juliet
That ends a little differently.

Lost souls compelled to wander
Trying to escape the Worlds fierce harms,
See truth in one another
and find peace in each others arms.

Society picks them apart piece by piece
Tearing at their skin.
Filling them with torment after suffering
And breaking them down within.

One sorrowful woe causes another
And begins a chain of events...
As so does a quiet weeping
Turn into a succession of laments...

As does a feather float in the air,
The first one gracefully falls
Leaving the last to suffer miserably
Alive, but dead above all.

An ending thought to be so horrid,
Yet still it is not so rare.
Yes the tale ends as you can assume
A life taken by ones own despair
