Under the Cherry Tree

by LadyPearl   Jun 21, 2006

Painted sky of azure blue
Morning grass with crystal dew
Alone in dreams I wait for thee
Right here under the Cherry Tree

Here you come in threads of love
Come to me from clouds above
Wrap your threads around my arm
Shelter me from nature's harm

Place A cherry to my face
Gently on my lips you place
Drop your lips in a tender kiss
Let us share this delightful bliss

Around and around the cherry tree
Singing summer's sweet melodies
Dance like Swans with natural grace
Twirling and spinning in this place

Romantic times spread in wings
Above the world, it's beauty sings
You and me under this Cherry tree
Hand in hand with love's piety

A very peaceful poem, gorgeous imagery and a strong rhythm/flow.

the only thing i can criticise is the 3rd stanza; you use the word 'place' in the 1st and 2nd lines and 'lips' in the 2nd and 3rd lines. this is very noticeable and inturrupts the poem.

also the second line of this stanza doesn't really make sense...

This one is very descriptive, and it touches you in such a way that most poets strive for! Amazingly crafted!
