Der Traumträger (The Dream Carrier)

by Banana   Jun 24, 2006

I carry dreams, on my shoulders and in my heart.
Sweet desires and fantasies that tear me apart.
Images that burn in my memory for me to know.
Thoughts and feelings I have tried to let go...

*~*~*~*
You turned towards me and took my hand.
We traveled on a frozen and foreign land.
A destination we would never discover.
A world that we may never uncover...
*~*~*~*

I carry dreams, like birds who will fly on wings.
Freely and instinctively, I see what time brings.
And burning within a frozen fire’s last ember,
I relive memories and I remember, I remember...

*~*~*~*
With black tears and red eyes I saw you.
I was a ghost and you saw right through.
I kissed your cold cheek and you knew not.
Turning away, I am now just a lost thought...
*~*~*~*

I carry dreams, that I only wish to carry no longer.
Pictures and figures that have not made me stronger.
My dreams will one day wither and die.
And without dreams, all that is left, is I...

*~*~*~*
The world pulled away and left me alone.
A universe changed and I was unknown.
Nothing was there, nothing had fallen behind.
And all who had led me here, had left me blind...
*~*~*~*
