the best of friends
from start to finish
beginning to end

they met at a party
eye contact was love
she was his dreams..
and thoughts just weren't enough

homecoming came
and he was alone
tried his best
and asked her out on the phone

he waited for something
and hoped for the best
heard lots of screaming
and then came his "YES"

weeks went by
and they shared their thought
had some fun arguments
but NEVER fought

their love was real
too good to be true
he'd give any moment
to tell her " I Love You"

Months went by
with nothing to say
he never saw it coming
his love to fade away

he broke down and cried
and thought of what to do

as time went on
they tried to speak
but when it came time
they became to weak

the love they had-
months before
"Was it ever there"?
he couldn't be sure

this awkwardness
was way too strong
if he wanted her back
he didn't have long

Now i sit here and think
on how to make it all right
to have my true love
to have Heidi back i my life...
