Broken silhouette

by Amberinaa   Jun 26, 2006

Held your hand for the last time
and watched you fade away.
You struggled to survive.
But you didn't survive that day.

Cancer took you over
and left your body cold.
Now since that very day
I've watched my life unfold.

The funeral was gloomy
my eyes were never dry.
Since the moment you left
all i do is cry.

You taught me how to laugh.
You taught me how to live.
You taught me to stand up
and sometimes to forgive.

Your memory lives on
We will never forget.
all i have left is an image
of your broken silhouette
