Where are you

by liVing lIes   Jun 26, 2006

As i lay awake each morning
i roam the empty house
your room is silent
not even the squeak of a mouse
but it comes to me
without the touch of surprise
all that is left
is the glimmer of your eyes
your sweet smell
the sight of your smiling face
since you've been gone
they've been lost in space
i am left with nothing
no loving arms for my holding
all the darkness of life
is now rapidly unfolding
the way you brush my hair
the sound of your voice
have all vanished
with your destructing choice
there is no one left
to run to
there are so many questions
i don't know what to do
where am i to go now
where am i to turn
there is no love for me left
is this a cruel lesson i am to learn
at my young age
i am already too mature
but this is a situation in which
the conscience within me is unsure
i am left in a corner
without you or anyone
just another twist
to the journey that's only just begun
