Shatter Mirrors

by Jessica   Jun 27, 2006

It has been days, weeks
And soon it will be months.
God forbid I will ever utter years.

I’m not whole I am half.
Half human and half lost.

Lost in the depths of my soul,
That darkness I am so use to.

My life is like a mirror that had
Once shown a reflection of two lovers.

Which now holds the remains of one person.
As for the other, she is shattered on the floor.

Taken down by a stone of remorse; she looks
Up at where she once stood so tall.

She knows she is broken in so very dreaded ways.
