Repeat Offender

In the next week
I'm finally going to meet
My first true love
Who lives far away

I wonder how it will go
Butterflies in my stomach
I'm really quite nervous
Bet yet also excited

A long distance relationship
I discovered
Just doesn't work
I will never do that again

I was so happy
So in love
But became after time
So heartbroken

After all that's happened
I'm not going to meet him
I hope I won't fall
For him all over again

I've done it twice before
But if it happens again
I will then definitely be
A repeat offender

    This was so sad, and there is a lot of meaning behind the words how lonely love can make a person feel. Overall though, i thought it was a very well written poem.
